Ever since iOS 14 was released, users could change their default browser rather than staying with Safari exclusively. Although Safari is a great browser that prioritizes your privacy, having more options such as DuckDuckGo with its own perks gives a more flexible way to browse online.
- Go to the App Store and download your preferred browser app (i.e. DuckDuckGo, Chrome)
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and click the browser you've downloaded
- Tap Default Browser App and toggle the browser of your choice
If you choose to delete the downloaded web browser, your iPhone will automatically set Safari as your default browser app again. This is the same vice versa - deleting safari will automatically set the installed web browser as your default browser app.
