With Apple's Family Sharing, you can access your family member's locations using the family organizer. Once location sharing is turned on, the organizer's location is automatically shared with the group. Then, each person can choose whether or not to share their location as well. Other members in the family organizer can view other member's locations in Find My Friends and Messages.
The family organizer can be a reliable safety tool if a member's phone is stolen, lost, or if someone is missing.
Start a family group
Go to Settings.
Tap your name.
Tap Family Sharing, then tap Set Up Your Family.
Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your family and invite your family members.
Invite people to join your family
Go to Settings.
Tap your name, then tap Family Sharing.
Tap Add Member.
Enter your family member's name or email address and follow the onscreen instructions.
Choose whether you’d like to send an invitation via Messages or to invite them in person. Then follow the onscreen instructions.
