Your Mac can show you how much storage space is being used by various categories of files, and how much space is available for additional files.
Access Storage Availability
Click the Apple menu
Select System Settings
Click General in the sidebar
Click Storage on the right
For earlier versions than macOS Ventura: Click the Apple menu > About This Mac, then click Storage
